Transition Ability
For over 25 years, CONMED has been successfully transitioning correctional healthcare services upon contracting with new customer facilities.

The last thing any correctional facility wants or needs is a disruption in inmate healthcare services.
Upon award of a contract, we assemble a dedicated Transition Team and begin work identifying all tasks required to successfully execute a seamless changeover of services to CONMED. We work within the time frame as determined by the Facility Administration, and we keep the Facility Administration updated on progress through and beyond the start date, until the transition is completed. Our Transition Teams are comprised of management leadership from Operations, Human Resources, Medical and Mental Health Services, Nursing, Quality Assurance and Standards, Finance, and IT. Everyone plays an integral role in the successful transition of each new contract to ensure that contract requirements are met and expectations exceeded. |

Project Teams
CONMED is a “high touch” company; senior management frequently and routinely visits each of our contracted facilities across the United States. We partner with each facility and support them through corporate and regional monitoring and oversight.
For each contracted facility, CONMED designates a dedicated Project Team; this network of professionals remains a presence through the life of the contract. Each Project Team includes:
- A highly qualified Medical Director
- A Health Services Administrator
- Regional Medical Directors and Regional Operations personnel, who provide support, monitoring and oversight in addition to that afforded by CONMED’s Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Operations; and,
- Regional Nursing and Quality Assurance support to provide training as needed, audit preparation, and to address specific needs as required.
Every Project Team includes senior corporate management, who are all personally involved by direct site visits on a monthly basis at a minimum, or more frequently as needed. Additionally, facility administration has easy access to senior management whenever needed.
