Corporate Structure
Founded in Maryland and incorporated as a private company in 1984, CONMED was acquired in January 2007 and became a public company, initially trading on the OTC. The Company transferred its listing to the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CONM in July 2009.
In November 2008, CONMED acquired Correctional Mental Health Services, LLC (CMHS), a provider of correctional mental and behavioral healthcare and behavioral healthcare needs, which now operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
On January 31, 2012, CONMED purchased the assets of Panhandle Correctional Care, a healthcare provider based in Amarillo, Texas. As a result, CONMED acquired the health services contract for Randall County Jail and contracts with two other local counties.
